The Jazz Impuls Foundation was founded with the purpose of supporting those musicians in the field who deserve greater recognition. The Foundation’s selection involves a careful assessment of the qualities of the candidates and their potential for future success. Anne Chris is one of the beneficiaries of the Foundation’s support and this CD provides a clear justification for her selection. A first listening of her compositions will confirm an exceptional talent and provide an exquisite experience for any music lover. This is her debut CD, recorded in March and in October 2004 presented in het Bimhuis in Amsterdam. Although this is her first album, six of the twelve compositions are written by Anne herself and these reflect a remarkable maturity. Her songs demonstrate exceptional variety and lyrical quality, which allow her to showcase her beautiful clear voice.
