- Three of Stravinsky's most wonderful and beloved works on one CD: the great ballet music for "Apollon Musagte", here performed in the 1947 revision by Stravinsky, when he himself called the work simply "Apollo": the Concerto in Eb, better known as "Dumbarton Oaks" after the estate of the lady who commissioned the work; and the ever popular Concerto in D Major for strings, one of his most accessible works.

- Nieuw Sinronietta Amsterdam and their conductor Lev Markiz are justly famous for their Stravinsky interpretations and this CD shows why this is so. The "Apollonian" beauty of the Apollo music, the enthusiastic and virtuoso performance of "Dumbarton Oaks" (modelled by Stravinsky on Bach's Brandenburg Concertos) and the rousing performance or the Concerto In D for Strings, will not fail to miss equal enthusiasm with any listener.

- An extremely interesting CD full or musical treasures, captured in a glorious sound picture.
