  • When these recordings were first released in the Globe 5000-series at full price (GLO 5004 & GLO 5005), they received unanimous international praise:

"These performances are highly imaginative and fascinating, and they really open up the beauties of this music, which have been neglected for so long" Luister, January 1989

"The performances capture the essential spirit of the music in a stylish and intimate way. There is a warm rapport between the two artists, enhanced by an effective chamber music acoustic ... In summary, a fascinating issue." The Gramophone, August 1989

  • Now brought together in one box with on two CDs the first complete recording of all the works for harpsichord and violin by J .S. Bach's eldest son, a composer of major importance for the development of chamber music in the eighteenth century!

Both Anneke Uittenbosch and Alda Stuurop are among the highest-ranking performers of Baroque music on period instruments in Holland, a country with a great reputation in this field (Gustav Leonhardt, Frans Brüggen).
Anueke Uittenbosch has also made a great number of solo recordings for both Globe and Etcetera. She has been acclaimed as one of the great exponents of her instrument today. In this recording she plays on a magnificent copy of an original harpsichord by the famous J.C. Dulcken, built in 1973 by Ketil Haugsand. Alda Stuurop is not only a virtuoso soloist in her own right, but also one of the co-founders and the leader of Frans Brüggen's Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century. She plays on a beautiful Montagnana violin, built in Venice in 1730.
