Variation Works for Piano

This first issue in the new Globe Da Capo Series is a reissue of one of the most successful CDs from our catalogue, which first came out in 1992. Since then there have been very few other releases of this wonderful repertoire and none that came even close to Ronald Brautigam's interpretations on an original fortepiano. Mozart himself took an absolute delight in improvising and his published keyboard variation works show him as the grand master of the variation form. With over 77 minutes of recorded music, Brautigam's sublime performances and a lowered price setting, this CD has all the indications of becoming a great commercial as well as artistic success.
