- Laurens de Man is awarded the Nederlandse Muziekprijs 2024, the first organist ever to receive this most prestigious of Dutch music awards. This has brought him lots of media attention and no doubt the simultaneous release of his two debut albums as an organist (see also GLO 5287) will bring him again much press coverage.
- This album is a highly original recital consisting entirely of program music (music that depicts a story). 'Musical storytelling' is commonly regarded as characteristic of the Romantic Age, and these organ pieces by Bach, Mozart, Kuhnau, and Kurtág are therefor rare specimens of program music outside the 19th century. Laurens de Man plays the newly reconstructed Contius organ at the St.-Michielskerk in Leuven, Belgium, where he had the honor of spending two seasons as organist in residence.
- The album is available in a 600 copy hand numbered limited edition
